ILS Automation is looking for a few great people to join our workforce. We don’t do cookie-cutter work here, our customers are typically looking to build a better control system. They are tired of the out-of-the-box, hard-to-use, and sometimes-works solutions. We aim to over deliver every time, then provide our customers with great support while they tweak and improve their processes.

To be a good fit at ILS, you would need to be the type of individual that likes to take the initiative and doesn’t need to be coddled. Our work environment is flexible. We require individuals that are disciplined and have strong people skills. If you want to learn, create, and solve interesting problems, ILS might be the place for you.

About ILS Automation

ILS provides automation solutions for process industries including chemical, refining, biotechnology, and manufacturing. We specialize in integrating and updating existing laboratory hardware control systems into a real-time unified system with a SCADA software backbone and standard databases.

Current Postings

The right candidate will work from a home office and interact closely with our software development leader. Occasional travel may be required.

The right candidate will work from our headquarters in Downers Grove, IL. A basic working knowledge of PLCs, motors, electronics, and fabrication is required. Some travel will be required.

The right candidate will work from our headquarters and from home supporting our customers, both on the phone and in person. As an Application Engineer, you would be involved in every phase of our work, from sales to installation and support, which means you must be great with people and technology. The ideal candidate would most likely have a degree in Chemical Engineering or some other engineering discipline, or Microbiology, and have experience in fermentation/cell culture. Travel will be required, usually a couple times a month.

We are looking for motivated individuals and organizations around the country that already sell into related industries and can introduce our technology into companies in their area. We have an excellent compensation plan and work side-by-side with you through the entire sales process. Your job would be to qualify the accounts, introduce us, manage the account, and follow up on the order. We do the presentations, engineering, and installation.

The ideal candidate should have established accounts in one or more of the following industries:

  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Biotechnology
  • Chemical
  • Energy
